Evening Quran Classes (Maktab)

Evening Quran Classes (Maktab classes) operates Monday to Thursday in the evening and provides elementary and necessary Islamic knowledge to children from SK to Grade 8.

Students will learn recitation of the Qur’an with Tajweed and other Islamic studies subjects.

Key areas of Islamic studies include:

  • Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence)
  • Seerah (Life of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
  • Islamic History
  • Noble Characteristics (Akhlaaq/Aadaab)
  • Hadeeth (Statements of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
  • Sunnah practices and supplications
  • Aqaa’id (Islamic Beliefs)
  • Rules of Tajweed (Correct pronunciation of Qur’an)
